Subject #3 - Any subject in ink only

And here we are, subject #3. Let's see what kind of submissions we get on this one. It should be quick and easy, so get those pens out and show us what you got.

Subject #3 – Draw anything you like - in pen only. No pencil underdrawing, no sketching out, no tracing. Think back to your days doodling in your notebook during class, or, sketching during a meeting when the only thing you had was pen and paper. We'll leave the choice of pen (and/or marker) up to you.

You've got two weeks. Ready, set, go!

Subject #2 - Favorite fictional event

Thank you to everyone that created work and checked out our illustrations this last two weeks.

Our next task is a little more involved. Are you ready? Let's get started.

A full page illustration that retells your favorite event in fictional history.

Wow, that subject is wide open! OK, sharpen your pencils, clear your drawing table, and let's see whatcha got.

Inaugural Subject (Subject #1) - Any Golden Age character

Our first subject to launch this site takes us back to the days of yore. Heroes and villains abound. Your mission - to draw a Golden Age hero or villain. Simple, right?

As always, any medium, any publisher, any style, any layout, and you have two weeks.

Remember to upload your pics when you're done or send them to me.

Happy drawing,
Christopher

Greetings

Greetings and welcome to the launch of the Chicago Illustrators Club. Every other week we'll be provided a subject and our group of Illustrators will take a swing at it. The subjects are broad and completely open to interpretation. So, have fun, experiment with different mediums, and give us your best. We're really excited about what's to come.
